Throughout my career, I have represented clients across the U.S. and internationally, drawing on a broad legal background that enhances my practice. My legal journey began in criminal law, where I advocated for underprivileged youth in Sydney, Australia, and gained experience working on appeals cases before the NSW Supreme Court. In the U.S., I honed my skills at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office and the Nassau Legal Aid Society, and also as an immigration attorney at the Smotritsky Law Group.
A Global Perspective on Immigration
I am licensed to practice law in New York. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from Barnard College, a women’s college committed to shaping future leaders who want to affect change, where I am currently a member of the Alumnae Advisory Council. I also have a Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law. I am a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and speak English, Bengali, and Spanish. I have also traveled extensively around the world, connecting with people, which allows me to bring a multicultural perspective to each case. This enables me to better understand and advocate for my clients’ diverse backgrounds and needs. Every day, I am motivated by the incredible individuals I represent, helping them unlock opportunities and secure visas that will shape their future.
